On 20th June 2016 there will be performances of the sun sonification work Hour Angle around the world.

At the Vortex jazz club Dalston, London, an evening of solstice themed music will open with the Morley Jazz Orchestra performing the 'Stonehenge Suite' written in 1963 by Richard Peaslee. There will be other performers too TBC.

At 2234 BST Hour Angle will begin outside the Vortex in Gillet Square played by the Morley Jazz Orchestra and an accumulation of musicians and singers. The performance will end at 2334 the moment of solstice.

At the same time (2334 French time) there will be a performance in Couëron, France with professional and stududent musicians under the direction of Clara Bodet and Christophe Havard.

If you want to take part in either performance all you need is your instrument (or voice) and a smart phone or g3 enabled tablet to read the notation. The notation is designed to suit a wide variety of musicians so if you are amateur or professional you should find it challenging and fun.
